Prince William Engagement: Prince to Wed Kate Middleton in Royal Wedding in 2011

Lately the rumors have been swirling but now it's official. This Prince William engagement has fellow Brits going crazy and now they won't have to question whether this rumor is true or not because the engagement has been confirmed based on a statement released by the Clarence House, which is where Prince William lives.

This morning the Today Show announced that Kate Middleton is the lucky bride-to-be and it has been reported that Prince William did ask Middleton's father if he could take her hand in marriage. Very old fashioned but still pretty sweet. Some of us didn't know guys still did that. When you're the Prince and second to the throne it's probably a good idea to be a complete gentlemen. The Prince William engagement was also brought to the attention of the Queen and other close members of the family.

Both Middleton and Prince William are 28 and are reportedly going to marry in the spring or summer of 2011. Also according to reports, the engagement was said to happen in October during a vacation to Kenya when Prince William proposed.

The couple met 8 years ago in Scotland where they both attended the University of St. Andrews. So there you have it! Prince William is officially engaged to long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton according to a statement released by Clarence House. Wishing them a lifetime of love, friendship and happiness!
