Actor James MacArthur Passed Away at the Age of 72 Today!

As America has been enjoying a remake that created an iconic catch phrase, comes the news of the passing of James MacArthur, the original Danno. James MacArthur, who played Danno on the original "Hawaii Five-O" TV series has died at age 72.

James MacArthur was the last surviving member of the classic TV series that ran for 12 years. Was the adopted son of actress Helen Hayes.

Actor James MacArthur passed away today. Best known as Danno on Hawaii Five O, he also was in movies such as the Battle of the Bulge.

I still remember him playing DANNO on Hawaii-Five 0. BUT WHAT I REMEMBER THE MOST HE WAS A GREAT ACTOR. AS I WAS GROWING UP. I ENJOYED HIM IN ALL THE WALT DISNEY MOVIES HE EVER MADE AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE HIMSELF. ESPECIALLY I LIKED SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON AND LIGHT IN THE FOREST. FROM HIS DISNEY DAYS. THERE WERE MORE THOUGH. I ENJOYED JAMES SO MUCH IN THE MOVIE SPENCERS' MOUNTAIN. HE PLAYED CLAYBOY. WHICH ALSO STARRED HENRY FONDA AND MAUREEN O'HARA. I WAS HOPING TO SEE HIM ON HAWAII FIVE -0 AT LEAST THE NEW SHOW ONCE.
