Jeffrey Landrigan was executed in Arizona with a lethal injection. The only interesting fact here is that the drug used for the injection was procured in Britain and not FDA approved. While unfamiliar with the case, i will say that republicans are now e@en outsourcing executions!
Arizona executed Jeffrey Landrigan yesterday. His dying words were, "boomer sooner." I don't think he went to Heaven...
Lauren Burgoyne is live this morning at Florence State Prison with the latest on the exceution of Jeffrey Landrigan. Plus a motorcyclist wakes up in the hospital after falling 30 feet down a hillside.
It could make him sick, but not for long: Arizona plans to execute murderer Jeffrey Landrigan next week, but his lawyers say one imported execution drug may be substandard and violate FDA rules meant to guarantee that drugs are "safe and effective." I think they mean "safe or effective."
Update from court hearing today: The attorneys Jeffrey Landrigan, who has an October 26 execution scheduled, argued several motions at the Az Supreme Court. It was revealed in oral argument that the state didn't get one of the execution drugs from the only company in the US that produces it, indicating that the drug may have been obtained from a foreign source outside of FDA-approved channels.
