Australian twins were shot at a shooting range in Arapahoe County, Colorado. The bizarre double shooting has puzzled investigators. Unfortunately one of the sisters is dead. However, authorities are not sure which one it was.
Australian Twins Shooting Puzzles Authorities - Who Shot Sisters?
Members of the victim’s family are going to Colorado to help identify the body of the dead twin sister and be with the surviving twin. As of now, authorities are not sure if the shooting was a suicide, foul play or an accident – there was no suicide note. At this point investigators do not believe that a third person shot the 29-year-old twins. The surveillance video showed the twins falling backwards at almost the exact same time at 2:50 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The video did not show anyone enter the stall other than the two sisters.
It seems somewhat unlikely that it was suicide since one of the sisters was supposed to fly back to Australia today. Combine that with no suicide note, then this may be an accident, but what could have happened? There have been suicides at the Family Shooting Center gun range before.
What an odd case for the Colorado authorities to have to figure out. It must be a terrible shock to the twin sisters’ family members. It is also terrible to not know which sister is alive and which one died. There’s no word on if the surviving sister is expected to recover. Hopefully police will find out what happened, and if it was an accident hopefully nothing like it will happen again.
