Divorce Off for Beyonce's Parents Matthew and Tina Knowles

The parents of R&B singer Beyonce have apparently called off their divorce, for now.  Matthew Knowles and Tina Knowles were supposed to be in court for the divorce proceedings this past Monday, but it seems nobody showed up for the trial, including the married couple.  This would seem to indicate that they have worked it all out, but that's yet to be official.

According to TMZ's report, the trial scheduled for Monday November 15th in Harris County, Texas was dismissed by the judge after nobody showed up.  At this point there's no confirmation of whether or not Matthews and Tina Knowles have patched things up though.  TMZ seems to believe the two chose to reconcile and drop the divorce altogether.

The divorce proceedings were started up by Tina after learning Matthew had fathered a child by Alexsandra Wright.  One month after Matthew had been named in a paternity suit, Tina filed the divorce papers, about a year ago in November 2009.

Of course the news that they may have chosen to call off their divorce arrives as several other engagements and divorces are hitting the news.  It appears that NBA star Steve Nash is getting divorced as is his fellow NBA star Tony Parker and wife Eva Longoria (rumored). Meanwhile, it looks like NFL star Chad Ochocinco is getting married.  Also getting married in the music world are Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, although not to one another.  Lachey is engaged to girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo while Simpson is engaged to former NFL player, Eric Johnson.

Sounds like good news for Beyonce, as well as her parents that the divorce is off.  Of course we'll have to wait for official word that this is the case, and that there isn't some more behind-the-scenes legal proceedings going on to make the divorce happen.
