JK Rowling: No More Harry Potter For Daniel Radcliffe

J.K. Rowling has made a promise to Daniel Radcliffe – no more Harry Potter! The promise was made by Rowling to Radcliffe via text message.

Is this a diss to Radcliffe? Not at all! Actually, Radcliffe is approaching his adult years, and Rowling said she “has no plans for an ‘adult’ Hogwarts novel, according to The Telegraph.

Although children and adult alike were fans of the books, Rowling has decided to end the series “on a high note,” according to Radcliffe. Rowling has often said that she always knew how Harry's story would end — in the seventh and final book.

You might think Radcliffe would be disappointed by this news, but it seems he has no hard feelings whatsoever.

"It's sad, absolutely," he said. "[But] we're going out on a high note. To sustain this level of quality for 10 years is a very rare thing in a big franchise. I think we've done amazingly. I'm thrilled."

He’s right – it is much better to go out with a bang and leave fans wishing for more – though this isn’t always the case, Harry Potter has yet to disappoint – well, except that there likely won’t be more to come.

"I'm sure she will be writing other books," he continued. "But I can pretty much guarantee that Harry will not be a feature."

According to MTV News, Radcliffe said that Rowling’s text message was full of praise.

"Basically, it amounted to the fact that she felt I had been very good in this 'Harry Potter' film, and as a reward for that, she wasn't going to [write] any more 'Harry Potter' [books].”

Perhaps that’s a funny way of putting it, however, though Harry Potter may indeed be coming to an end, it is likely that both Rowling and Radcliffe will continue on in other ventures. We will just have to wait and see what they have in store for us next.
