Grand Rapids Art Museum has set up a “Princess Diana” exhibit in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. The “Princess Diana” exhibit houses over 150 items which once belonged to Diana.
The exhibit will last until early next year. Some very lucky people will be able to look upon and admire the things which the “People’s Princess” once treasured. There is little like the feeling of being so close to something that was so loved by someone you admired.
The “Princess Diana” exhibit has become so popular that even local hotels are hoping to cash in on it. Special packages have been created for guests who wish to visit Princess Diana's exhibit.
Grand Rapid’s JW Marriott and Amway Grand Plaza Hotel have packages which would include free parking and free admission to the “Princess Diana” exhibit. You can access the websites for further information via JW Marriott and Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.
Amongst the many items currently being displayed at the “Princess Diana” exhibit are Diana’s crown, wedding dress and toys from her childhood. This is a first for the city of Grand Rapids which hopes to bring in tourists with its “Princess Diana” exhibit. The exhibit will end on February 16, 2011 which is the same day the Grand Rapids’s hotels packages end. There will most likely be several packages sold out because Princess Diana was much loved and not just in the U.K. but everywhere. Even though several years have passed since Princess Diana’s death in 1997, she is still admired and making news.
