By the power of truth, I while living, have conquered the universe.
On November the 5th of 1605, Guy Fawkes, Robert Catesby, and other “conspirators” attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London, England in an act still known today as The Gunpowder Plot. They failed at executing the plot, and Guy Fawkes was hung, drawn, and quartered.
But we need to remember his idea and not just him. Ideas and hopes for freedom. We need to remember that with a little hope and enough people, an idea can change the world.
-take note of this quote from the film-
“We are told to remember the idea, not the man. Because a man can fail. He can be caught. He can be killed and forgotten. But four hundred years later an idea can still change the world. I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of ideas. I’ve seen people kill in the name of them; and die defending them. But you cannot touch an idea, cannot hold it. An idea does not bleed, it cannot feel pain, and it does not love.”

should ever be forgot.
