Voting was fast and furious. Facebook fans have decided the winner in a race with more debates than gay marriage or medical marijuana legalization. It’s “People” magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, or “SMA” on Facebook: Vin Diesel. This is not the same as "People" magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive title which could now be called “People’s Sexiest Man Alive IRL.” The SMA issue hits newsstands on November 17, 2010 providing the women and men of the world with some serious eye candy.

The category of “People’s Sexiest Man Alive on Facebook” started off with a strange list. “People” magazine’s loose requirement was that the sexy man have a page on Facebook. Of the initial choices given, fewer than half actually update their pages on the popular social network.

The two most frequent FB posters are also the two men fans have shown the most passion for: Vin Diesel and Pauly D ("The Jersey Shore"). Now that Vin Diesel has won, the Vin Diesel fans and haters are chiming in. Some of the initial names on the voting list including Johnny Depp and Matt Damon are not mentioned in the tallies. They may have been removed at some point.
