Dr. Dre Leak: Detox Tracks Featuring Snoop Dogg, Eminem Hit The Net

Dr. Dre tracks leak online one by one, and the rapper is not happy. The latest leak is of a track featuring rapper Eminem. Yes, Dre's former protege is back working with him, and in this track titled "I Need A Doctor" he is trying to help his mentor revive his life and his career. Dr. Dre is just not the rapper he once was. He has been focusing on helping other artists release their music in recent years.

"Detox" is an album that has been years in the making. Back in 2002, he first talked about the project, but it has been met with delay after delay because of his producing work. It was last scheduled to be released in 2005, but it was pushed back and rescheduled now for a release date this year. Dr. Dre's fans are hungry for his new music.

The first track leaked this week was a version of what is to be the first single "Kush." The leak of that version forced Dre to release the official version before he was ready to do that. The Eminem track soon followed though. Dre has not yet responded to the leak of that track.

In regard to the leak of "Kush" yesterday, he said the following according to Yahoo! UK: "It's a little bit unfortunate with the technology today. (Kush) got leaked and it was a version of it that I really wasn't happy about, (but) we're going to go ahead and push it and put it out because everybody seems to like it."

Technology does make it easier for leaks to happen these days. Most albums hit the net days and even weeks before they are meant to hit store shelves. It is understandable that Dre is not happy about the leak of his work before it is was ready. However, the fans will not be denied. An album eight years in the making have fans restless for new material. Not an excuse, but a fact!

Dr. Dre and Eminem toured together earlier this year, and it is safe to say that fans of Dr. Dre, also known as Andre Young, are ready and waiting for "Detox" to be released. Dre has said this will be his final album release. Never believe that. How many artists have said they were done only to return a few years later?

Hopefully, this record can stop meeting with delays and finally release officially to the public. If Dre doesn't hurry up, the fans seem all too happy to help him leak it!
