Rumors began swirling this week about Tony Parker cheating on Eva Longoria with Erin Barry, the wife of a former teammate of Parker's. Brent Barry and his wife Erin Barry are expected to be divorcing as well. The Barry divorce papers also cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for divorce.
Brent's father, NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry stated that his son has been "devastated" by this news. "I feel horrible for my son," Rick said. "I'm in shock. I knew [Erin] was moving out of the house soon and SHE was the one that filed for divorce. This is the straw that broke the camel's back."
The Parkers and the Barrys were very close friends and it's a shame that two of them couldn't remain faithful to their own spouses. This is now causing two married couples to divorce after several years of marriage.
Eva Longoria confided in good friend Mario Lopez and told him about the text messages she found on Tony Parker's phone that were confirmed to be from Erin Barry.
Yesterday Eva tweeted, "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness."
We can only hope that Eva and Brent are able to remain strong amidst the heartbreak that each of them is going through at this time.
