Stedman Graham and Oprah Winfrey are still “lovers,” at least according to Oprah. She divulged the information to Barbara Walters in an interview set to air tonight. In the interview, the mega mogul also denied reports that she was a lesbian. Unfortunately, the lesbian rumor has been one which has haunted the TV host for decades.
Winfrey did not shy away from any of Walter’s questions and even cried when discussing her best friend, Gayle King. It was obvious Oprah loves both Graham and King very much but in different ways. She’s not a lesbian, not even a little bit.
Speaking about Stedman Graham, Oprah called him, “The love... the lover... the man... the partner... the mate… "
Winfrey gushed about the wonderful qualities she saw in him. Oprah also said whenever they were out publicly, the press would create an “exploitive story” and for that reason, she purposefully “pulled back” on her “public appearances with Stedman.”
Hopefully, people will now stop speculating about Oprah’s sexuality. She has been with Stedman Graham since 1986. That’s 24 years! They also got engaged in 1992 but have yet to go through with the wedding. Not many relationships can last for more than a couple of years, let alone over two decades. Whether or not they get married, they seem quite happy with their life together already.
The Barbara Walters Special: Oprah, The Next Chapter will air on December 9 at 9pm et/pt on ABC.
