The Rolling Stones have confirmed a tour for 2011. This comes as a bit of a surprise since the rumor was that the band was done touring. However Keith Richards said they aren’t going to stop.
The Rolling Stones Bigger Bang tour was huge, but many of the dates had to be postponed due to health issues with band members, and this is why many people felt it was their final tour. Richards actually had to have brain surgery in 2006 after he fell from a coconut tree. Although he says it was more like a shrub.
Perhaps even more exciting than the Rolling Stones 2011 tour confirmation was that the group plans to record a new album. A new album from the Rolling Stones will be huge! Richards said, "After these many years working together, we have a lot of unfinished stuff to work on that we had to leave off the last album. And knowing Mick, as I do, he's a very prolific writer. I have ideas [too] and we'll put them together in December or January. “
Wow! All of these announcements are very good news indeed for fans of The Rolling Stones. Do you plan to attend any of their 2011 tour dates? Are you excited to hear some new material from the Stones? Do you think you would buy a new record from them? You can listen to an interview with Richards below.
