Stores Open on Thanksgiving Day

Do you want to have a traditional Thanksgiving with turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and family, or do you want to shop? If you chose to shop, you might need to know what stores are open on Thanksgiving Day?

Stores open on Thanksgiving Day are as follows: Wal-Mart, Kmart, The Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Toys "R" Us, Bath & Body Works, and Victoria's Secret. You can check this article for times.

There is something wrong with Christmas starting earlier and earlier, but what is even worse is when shopping becomes more important than family time. Thanksgiving used to be a day to relax, eat, and be with one another.

Maybe for some, it's not like that, but what are retailers doing to their employees? Many are forced to work on a traditional holiday, and that is wrong. Maybe Americans need to realize what their priorities are, and why so many are in financial trouble.

Stay home on Thanksgiving. Maybe then people will be together and remember that Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks for blessings, and not for what stores have on sale.

The Butterball Talk-Line was created to assist everyone from first-time cooks to seasoned chefs with preparing their holiday bird. Originally staffed with six home economists who responded to 11,000 phone calls in its first year alone, today the Talk-Line is staffed with nearly 50 home economists and nutritionists who respond to more than 100,000 questions each November and December. Black Friday Ads at Target - Great Deals on Laptops HDTV & Game Consoles Today!

Black Friday Ads without mention of Target will be a depressing time of the season. However, the retail giant has released it's Black Friday 2010 ads just in time, and the deals are great, if you're the first in line.

This holiday season, you have to be among the first to capture deals on your favorite laptop, video game console, HDTV, or coupons that give you discounts on toys for your long list of family and friends.

A 205-page item Target Black Friday sale ad is available as well as a 28-page Target Black Friday 2010 ad sale series of scans.  The good news is that you do not have to wait until the day after the turkey is gone.  Target is beginning its sale on 11/21, but it ends on 11/24.

Here is a sample of what you can snap up on deals:

Acer Aspire 10.1” Netbook for $179.99

Nintendo DSi Console for $119.99

Vizio 37” 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV for $399.99

Coupons for $5 Off Select Toys

The Acer 10.1” Netbook for $179.99 is comparable to the Compaq 10.1” Netbook for $149.99 during BestBuy’s Black Friday ads sale. The trouble is that Best Buy will only have 8 of the better deals on hand per store.  So, it makes sense to pickup an Acer at Target, hold on to it, and fish for the Best Buy deal, if you're lucky.

Happy Thanksgiving

The recalled turkeys may be contaminated, and the germ may cause listeriosis which can be fatal at times. The illness is especially concerning for pregnant woman as it can cause miscarriage and stillbirth. Also infants and elderly people as well as those who have a weakened immune system are at high risk of fatality from listeriosis.

Be sure the check any turkey you may have already purchased for your Thanksgiving feast next week for the turkey recall products. The following are the recalled products:

1-pound packages of New Branufels Smokehouse Sliced Smoked Turkey labeled with package code 2210;

4- to 6-pound packages of New Braunfels Honey-Glazed Spiral Sliced Smokehouse Hickory Smoked Boneless Breast of Turkey with package code 2180;

4- to 6-pound whole breast packages of Stegall Spiral Sliced Hickory Smoked Turkey Breast with package codes 2180 or 2210.

The recalled packages of turkey were produced on August 4, 2010. Unfortunately they were distributed through retailers nationwide. The packages have the USDA mark of inspection – they also have the number P-975 on them.

If you have already eaten any turkey you may have purchased recently be sure to see a doctor immediately if you start experiencing any of the symptoms of listeriosis which are high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea.

Once again we are faced with dealing with contaminated food and worrying about safety. With Thanksgiving being around the corner, there are so many extra turkeys in circulation right now. Hopefully everybody who has purchased these recalled turkeys will hear about the recall before they eat the turkeys.
